Bachelor Of Science In Animation And Visual Effects (Bsc. VFX)

Course Objective

Bachelor Of Science In Animation And Visual Effects (Bsc. VFX) is designed to provide students the knowledge and understanding of 3-D modeling, materials, textures, pipeline workflows, and integration, designing and developing both characters and environments for both film and games in the Computer Animation industry. The knowledge learned will qualify students for entry-level positions in the computer animation film and game industries as Character Modeling, Environment, and Look Development Artists. Besides the degree program’s strong 3-D computer-graphics focus, students will build other skills in peripheral media and complete digital courses that will enhance their opportunities in related fields.

Admissions

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes obtained at the same sitting.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

(iv) Students of HEC (Information Technology) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.

(v) Diploma with minimum score of Class II Credit in a similar stream shall be considered for credit exemptions after assessment of their previous awards.
