Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM)

Course Objective:

This program aims to prepare students for leadership roles in the hospitality industry by providing a blend of operational and managerial knowledge in hotel and related hospitality services. It focuses on service management principles, hospitality operations, and business strategies specific to the hospitality sector.

Learning Outcomes:

Manage front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and event operations efficiently.

Apply principles of hospitality service management to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Develop and implement business strategies for hotel and hospitality enterprises.

Understand and apply standards of health and safety in hospitality environments.

Demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills in diverse and dynamic hospitality settings.

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND

(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes (at least one in science subjects) obtained at the same sitting.

(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.

(iv) Students of HEC (Business) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.
