This program is designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in accounting, financial analysis, investment, and risk management. It prepares graduates for careers in accounting, finance, banking, investment, and corporate management.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and standards.
Apply financial management techniques to evaluate and optimize investment decisions.
Understand the principles of corporate finance, including capital structure, dividend policies, and working capital management.
Employ quantitative methods to assess financial risks and returns.
Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory environments affecting financial reporting and corporate finance.
(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND
(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes (at least one in science subjects) obtained at the same sitting.
(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.
(iv) Students of HEC (Business) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.
